LG to Debut 105-inch Curved UHD TV at CES

LG already has the privilege of owning the huge 77-inch curved Ultra HD OLED TV, but it is quite obvious now that it just doesn’t want to stop at this. LG has plans to move far and beyond and it has only recently made an announcement that only one month later it will be revealing a 105-inch form at the CES. However, this one here is going to come with a little twist; it makes use of an LCD rather than the OLED which is far more costly. This is all the courtesy of the enhanced TFT technology which provides for an even back lighting all across the curved surface.

If someone is still asking for more, than this 105UB9 model has a more extensive than-normal 21:9 “Cinemascope” aspect ratio, and this consequently provides the 5,120 x 2,160 UHD resolution. It is not so likely that we are going to get any hints on the pricing of this new model; at least not till CES when it is officially going to unveil. But undoubtedly, LG has achieved a remarkable milestone with this one and we can expect this to be the start of a wave of more affordable curved TVs next year.
