Lenovo Updates Backpack and Mobile Accessory Line

Buying equipment is step 1, step 2 is figuring out how to carry everything and keep it charged. Lenovo has new backpacks and a laptop bag including a power brick that can completely recharge some of their laptops. Let’s checkout what they’re showing at CES 2018.

Lenovo has two new backpacks and a top-loading bag. ThinkPad Professional 15.6” Backpack and ThinkPad Secure Commute Backpack. Each bag can fit up to a 15.6” laptop. ThinkPad Professional Backpack has a padded carry handle, adjustable shoulder straps, trolley strap and a limited lifetime warranty. All of that is fit into a slick all black business-style package with stealth zippers.

If you prefer top-loading bags, Lenovo is also going to offer ThinkPad Professional 15.6” Top-load. It has all of the same features and internal capacity as ThinkPad Professional Backpack.

ThinkPad Professional 15.6” Backpack and Top-load will each be available March 2018 for $59.

ThinkPad Secure Commute Backpack is a bit more rugged. It has slash-resistant fabric, RFID-blocking with a hidden compartment to hold passports or your ID. There is an integrated USB charging port. The side of the bag has a pass-through USB A port so a power bank can be in the backpack, and a phone can still be connected in a side pocket. There is a separate compartment that can hold shoes or gym clothes so you don’t get any devices dirty or damaged. And the last couple features are an elastic grid organizing panel and a limited lifetime warranty.

ThinkPad Secure Commute Backpack will be available March 2018 for $119.

Lenovo has the perfect power brick to drop into any of their carrying bags. It has a capacity of 46Wh and includes ports for USB A, USB-C, and even Lenovo’s proprietary older laptop charging port. This new power brick can even be charged while supplying power to a laptop or other device. It will be available soon and pricing is to be determined.
