Lenovo Scores Highest Revenue Ever in Q4 of 2012

Lenovo is such an interesting story. Starting from a company that hardly anyone knew to purchasing IBM’s personal computer business, which included the ThinkPad brand. Now unlike many personal computer businesses they are actually doing well and making quite a lot of money! In the last quarter of 2012 Lenovo made an operating profit of $243 million. This was primarily because of their shipment of 14.1 million PC’s and notebooks.

The revenue reached a record $9.36 billion. Lenovo finished the fourth quarter of 2012 with 15.9% of the global PC market and a net profit of $205 million. Comparing this to the 2011 numbers Lenovo sold 7.9% more PCs between October and December 2012. With all that we saw at CES this year expect Lenovo to have a great 2013 as well!
