Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO Y910 Gaming PC Review

Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO Y910 Gaming PC Overview
Taking a first look at the IdeaCentre AIO Y910 Gaming PC, it looks more like a monitor than a fully-fledged gaming PC. That is because all of the components are located in the display itself, hence an all-in-one PC. The display itself is a 27-inch QHD display with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440. The display features Lenovo’s edgeless display design, which looks great and cuts down the overall size of the display.

At the top of the display there is a very interesting feature, and pop-up Intel RealSense 3D Camera. This can be used for Windows Hello and many other cool things.

Below the display you’ll find the integrated harman/kardon speakers and a sleek red design. These speakers are powered by the system’s 7.1 Channel Dolby Audio.

Moving over to the right side of the display we can see just how thick the entire unit is. Now AIO Y910 is not going to be thin like same of the recent displays we’ve taken a look at, but considering what it inside it is pretty thin. The actual dimensions of the entire unit are 9.35″ x 24.24″ x 19.3″ (W x L x H). On the right side of the display you’ll find two USB 3.0 ports, 6-in-1 card reader, HDA jacks, two more USB 3.0 ports (one is a charging port, will charge devices when the system is off), and an optical drive.

On the opposite side you’ll find a pull-down headset holder, large power button, and a smaller button used to active the HDMI-in port.

At the rear of the unit you’ll find a large Lenovo logo as well as the “Y” logo front and center. You’ll also find multiple ventilation holes on the top and towards the bottom. Since you have so much hardware cramped in such a small space you are going to need proper ventilation.

To the right of the stand you’ll find a few more connections, these include HDMI in, two more USB 3.0, HDMI out, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. HDMI in means that you can connect another device to the AIO Y910 and use its display. This is great for smaller room situations like a door room, bedroom, or office where you don’t necessarily have room for two displays. This mean you can plug in devices like cable boxes or consoles to the display. HDMI out is also great to have, especially for those looking to get into VR. There is a single power connection located towards the bottom of the stand. This is much better than coming off the back of the display.
