Hard Disk by Neil Poulton Overview
The Neil Poulton hard disk looks just liked a block of plastic. It has a nice glossy black finish all around. This all black look will look perfect in just about any setting. If you just see it sitting there you might wonder what it is! The pictures below are alright, but if you want better ones check out the LaCie product page.
The only thing that lets you know that this is a hard drive are the connections on the back. You have the power and USB connections, along with the power switch and some ventilation holes. Also on the side of the drive there is a small LaCie logo.
If you flip the drive over you can see that the entire bottom of the drive is ventilated, which should keep the drive inside nice and cool. We received the 1TB version of this drive but it also comes in 2TB and 500GB models. LaCie uses 4 large rubber feet to keep it the drive in place on your desk.
When you power on the drive there is a small blue LED strip that lights up. This gives the drive a small splash of style. The LED strip pulses when the drive is being accessed and is quite bright.
