Kingwin Power Force 850W Power Supply Review

Installation & Testing
Installation of the Power Force 850W is just like any other power supply.  In our case we are installing in the Cooler Master Cosmos II so we did not have any issues installing the unit.  The modular cables easily connect to the unit and route without any issues.

Now for testing, our test system is comprised of the following items:

Processor: Intel Core i7-3820
Motherboard: ASUS P9X79 Pro
Video Card: Sapphire HD 6950
Memory: 16GB G.Skill RipjawsZ
Power: Kingwin Power Force 850W
Storage: 750GB SATA II Drive
Cooling: Noctua NH-L12
Case: Cooler Master Cosmos II with 6 fans

We will be running OCCT for 30 minutes to stress test the power supply.  Initial spot checks on the 3.3V, 5V and 12V rails are 3.34V, 5.08V and 12.38V respectively.  Below you will find the results of our tests.

12v

The 5V rail had the most ‘ripple’ as you can see from the graph above.  All of the rails had a deviation of about 1%, which is great as we normally like to see 5% or below.
