Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ G3 Overview
Getting the drive out of the packaging we are presently surprised as it has a very nice metal casing. On the front of the drive is the DataTraveler Locker+ G3 logo as well as an engraving letting us know the capacity, which in our case is 32GB.
The drive actually has some good weight to it, which I like. It means that it is built well and the metal is actually real. At the top corner there is a place to attach a keyring or lanyard, although one is not included.
The back of the drive simply has the Kingston logo.
Popping off the cap we can see the simple USB 3.0 type-A connector. While the drive is USB 3.0 it is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices as well. One thing that I did notice is that the cap is a little harder to remove compared to other drives, I actually like that. It means it is not going to accidently fall off. Once you have the cap off you can actually install it on the rear of the drive so you don’t lose it.
