JVC Picsio Pocket HD Camcorder / Camera Review

Final Thoughts
It seems like many companies cannot go wrong when it comes to these pocket camcorders.  They all pretty much do the job and they shoot in perfect HD quality.  The small size of these camcorders makes them perfect for everyday carrying and even better for travel.  No one wants to carry around a huge camcorder!

I really did not find a single thing wrong with the JVC Picsio.  It shoot great HD video in both 1080p and 720p, shooting that video is very easy, it has HDMI out and charges via USB and it uses SDHC cards so storage can essentially be endless.

We recently reviewed the Kodak Zi8 Pocket HD Video Camera and the question you are probably asking is which one would you choose?  Well when it comes down to it I would have to choose the Kodak.  While both shoot in 1080p and 720p (60fps) the Kodak has a microphone input for capturing better quality audio.  It also has a flip out USB connector so you don’t have to worry about carrying a cable around with you either.

The Kodak is about $10 more, but the added features make it worth the extra $10.  The Picsio sells for about $100 online, which is still a great price for a pocket camcorder that shoots in full 1080p HD!  Overall ThinkComputers gives the JVC Picsio Pocket HD Camcorder / Camera a 9 out of 10 score.
