The very popular and compact Intel NUCs will be getting an update. They are being refreshed with new SoC’s from the Gemini Lake series and will get updated I/O as well. The new NUC7PJYH and NUC7CJYH feature quad-core a Pentium Silver J5005 and a dual-core Celeron J4005 respectively. Both of these are in the Gemini Lake Series and have Goldmont Plus cores and a large L2 cache of 4MB. You are also getting higher clocks with these two at 2.8 and 2.7 GHz compared to the previous generation.
One of the biggest changes we see with these NUCs is the addition of DDR4 memory, compared to DDR3 of the previous generation. We also see the dated VGA connection being replaced by a second HDMI port. On the front you have two USB 3.0 ports and a card reader.
On the back we of course have those two HDMI ports as well as two more USB 3.0 port, audio, and Gigabit Ethernet.
