Intel Core i9-7900X Overclocked to 6.01 GHz – Beats HWBOT World Record

Now this is one serious overclock! HWBOT user sofos1990 was able to take an Intel Core i9-7900X 10-core processor and achieve an insane overclock of 6.01 GHz (82.3% over stock clocks). This was achieved with LN2 of course. With his processor at 6.01 GHz he scored an enormous 12189.52 points making it the highest scoring 10-core score ever, and the highest single-processor system score ever achieved on the platform.

Sofos1990 was able to get up to 6.01 GHz with a very intense 1.6V Vcore. For hardware he was using a Gigabyte X299 SOC Champion motherboard, G.Skill Trident Z memory, Corsair AX 1500i PSU, and a Corsair Neutron 120 GB SSD. With LN2 the system was running at a cool -110 ºC ( -166 Fahrenheit).
