Intel Core i7 “Ivy Bridge-E” Pricing Surfaces

Intel is gearing up for the launch of their Core i7 “Ivy Bridge-E” high end desktop (HEDT) processors coming up in September. According to reports the Ivy Bridge-E lineup will consist of the Core i7-4960X, Core i7-4930K and the Core i7-4820K. These processors will fit current X79 motherboards with a simple BIOS update. VR-Zone has released the alleged prices of these processors when they come to market.

Intel Ivy Bridge-E Pricing

Starting off with the cheapest chip the Core i7-4820K, it will retail for $310. This quad core chip will feature a clock speeds of 3.70 GHz and 3.90 GHz boost, 10 MB of L3 cache, 48 PCI-Express gen 3.0 lanes, and a quad-channel memory controller.

Moving up to the Core i7-4930K which will be $555. This is a six-core chip and will feature clock speeds of 3.40 GHz and 3.90 GHz boost and 12 MB of L3 cache.

Finally off to the flagship which is the Core i7-4960X Extreme Edition. This six core chip will set you back $990 and has clock speeds of 3.60 GHz and 4.0 GHz boost with 15 MB of L3 cache.
