A Closer Look
Ok, I’ll admit, I’m really not into visual art, I get my art in music, engineering, and technology, among other things. Whether it be a well-designed electronic device from yesteryear, a finely crafted musical instrument, or even an innovative bridge or building, along with a well-played piece of music.that’s where I see beauty. As far as paintings, sculptures, or the like, where others see lighting, shadowing, expression, etc, I just see a bowl of fruit, a landscape, a pretty girl, or a can of soup.
The `Na is pretty simple actually, the base is an external drive enclosure with a porcelain tray on top. It is designed to look anything but a PC peripheral.
Having spent some time in martial arts, even I can appreciate the Eastern look of the `Na. Though it kind of looks like it should have some sushi sitting on top of it.
The components are pretty simple, the base and the tray. The tray is a somewhat shiny plastic that looks like porcelain. The bottom of the base sits on small feet to allow air to the fan.
There are only two adornments on the sides of the base, an I/O switch and an opening for the interface cable.
The tray is made of porcelain and is handmade. The lotus flower design painted on it is very simple. Yes, I already knew what a lotus looked like. There are four feet on the tray to slightly raise it off of the base.
Included with the `Na is a wall wart, screws for mounting the hard drive, a short eSATA cable, and a USB cable.
