In Win 305 Case Review

In Win 305 Overview
Taking a first look at the case we can see that we received the black version. In Win also offers a white version that has a wood accent on the front. For those wondering the official dimensions of the case are 500mm x 248mm x 484mm (HxWxD), so it is more on the small side when it comes to a mid-tower.

Starting at the front of the case we have a almost all tempered glass panel. Towards the top of the panel you will find the In Win logo. A small sliver of the front panel is actually anodized aluminum, which gives the front a little style, while keeping its elegant look. On the right side of the right is where you will find you connections and buttons. Starting up top you have a large power button, activity LEDs, two USB 3.0 ports, HD audio jacks, and two USB 2.0 ports.

One interesting thing about this case is that the top is completely plain, there is nothing up there! In Win does this to keep the aesthetic of the case. We saw this on the 301 as well, you’ll see in just a little bit how In Win is still able to effectively cool the case even though there is no top ventilation.

Moving on to the main side of the case we have a 3mm-thick tempered glass side panel. The glass part of the panel covers pretty much the entire side of the case so you’ll be able to show off all of your hardware inside. This panel is tool-less, it used the same handle-button mechanism that we saw on the 301. There is a small handle that has a button on it which will unlock the panel. The best part is that you can pull the panel off without even touching the glass itself.

Flipping over to the opposite side we have a normal panel, but you’ll notice a honeycomb design towards the top. This is actually ventilation, we’ll get into how it all works once we get inside the case. This panel is held in place by two thumbscrews.

You’ll notice the rear of the case is different than most cases as well. At the top you have a mount for your power supply, which actually mounts vertically. Don’t worry you can still fit a normal ATX power supply there, up to 200 mm too. There is 120 mm fan mount on the rear of the case, but no fan is included. There are actually no fans included with the case at all.

At the bottom of the case there are two feet that will lift the case off the ground for proper airflow. There is also a filter that extends the entire length of the case. You can actually slide the filter out from the side of the case for easy cleaning.
