Video Testing
3DMark11 is a notoriously popular method of gauging 3D performance, producing a score at the end of the run. Utilizing DirectX 11 (hence the name), advanced lighting, shadows, tessellation and others, it makes sure to test the capabilities of your hardware.  We ran 3DMark 11 on the performance setting.

Following 3DMark11, we utilized its sister suite, 3DMark Vantage. 3DMark Vantage is optimized for the previous generation of DirectX, DirectX 10, but that doesn’t make its results any less relevant. Again, like its younger sibling, 3DMark Vantage presents a score at the end of its benchmarking routine.  Again we ran it on the performance setting.

Unigine Heaven is an extremely popular tool for measuring GPU performance. It’s free and used in almost every hardware test you’ll have seen in the last 2 years.  Using DX11, 16x Anisotropy and normal tessellation we ran this test at 4 different Anti-Aliasing settings (0x – 8x).

Finally we have Stone Giant.  Created to show that advanced geometry can be used to create mind-blowingly awesome creatures and landscapes, Stone Giant – much like heaven – utilizes your hardware effectively and pushes it, providing you with FPS information once the run finishes.  The settings that were used were: Resolution: 1920×1080, Aspect Ratio: 16:9 and the Tessellation was set at 3 different settings: High, Medium, Off.
