HIS seems to be making quite the impact with their newest still to be released graphics cards. The Hong Kong based company famous for its graphics cards will soon announce the release of the two new Radeon R7-250 Oland XT and R7-240 Oland Pro Graphic Cards with completely new GPUs designed by HIS. Being a varying model of the Cape Verde, the two graphic cards are much faster than the Radeon HD 7770 and Radeon HD 7750 but they still remain behind the Radeon HD 7790 which was based on the Bonaire XTX.

The graphics cards have been equipped with the HIS IceQ and HIS iCooler and both will be available in reference and non reference models. The PCI-e connector powers up the Oland Pro Radeon R7-240 and represent a TDP of 75W. On the other hand, the TDP for the other model Radeon R7-250 is still under the shadow and hasn’t been leaked as yet. Much of the information available on the AMD’s Volcanic series has been obtained by Videocardz.

HIS Radeon R7-250 ‘OLAND XT’
Featuring the Oland XT Core, this Radeon R7-250 can reach blistering speeds with the clock speeds having the ability to reach up to 1050 MHz (base of 1000 MHz). The XT core has been built on the 28 nm process and features 1 GB of DDR5 memory with a PCI-e x16 3.0 interface. The clock speeds for this memory can reach a high of 4600 MHz. As mentioned above, no specific details of the GPU have been revealed so far.

This makes use of the Oland Pro core which is also built on the 28 nm process, similar to that of the Oland XT. Though the cores have been housed on the same nm process, the clock speeds for this one are not quite impressive; with a minimum of 730 MHz and a boost of 780 MHz. This is a lot slower as compared to the Oland XT but this supports a 2 GB DDR3 memory with a clock speed of 1800 MHz.
