Everyone has their favorite bag for carrying around tech gear. Although throughout the years, I’ve seen plenty of equipment get damaged from accidentally dropping a bag. At CES 2016, Griffin announced Survivor, a new lineup of stylish, weather and crush-proof bags, while remaining TSA compliant with a zip-open lie-flat design.
Each Survivor bag has weatherproof zippers, can hold up to a 15″ laptop, full sized tablet, and smartphone. The main compartment of each bag is surrounded with a shatterproof plastic shell and honeycombed sidewalls. Pockets for smartphones and tablets are lined in a scratch free brushed poly fabric.
Griffin Survivor Backpack offers 16 compartments and pockets, and cable pass-through grommets in its roomy 30 liter capacity. While capacity is important, it isn’t relevant if what’s in the bag is likely to be damaged from a fall. Luckily Griffin Survivor Backpack can withstand a 6 foot fall and still protect the equipment it’s holding.
Griffin Survivor Briefcase has a 20 liter capacity, 10 compartments and pockets, and can protect its contents up to a 4 foot fall.
Griffin Survivor Backpack will be available soon for $225.99.
Griffin Survivor Briefcase will be available soon for $189.99.
