Griffin iTrip Aux & iTrip Bluetooth Review

Conclusion
Making accessories is in Griffin’s DNA, iTrip Aux and iTrip Bluetooth are no exception. Each are carefully crafted in respect to design and features that gives a quality, experienced feel.

iTrip Aux can quickly charge any iPhone that has a Lightning connector, or even charge an iPad at a similar rate to Apple’s official wall charger. While charging a device, iTrip Aux also allows music to be sent over the device’s Lightning connector to your car’s auxiliary port. With backlit buttons to control track skipping, and play/pause, iTrip Aux is a great device that perfectly executes everything it is designed to do, and is competitively priced at $49.99. Overall I would give the iTrip Aux a 10 out of 10 score!

rating10 10 small

Pros:
– Built-in 12W charger for iPad and iPhone
– Music over Lightning cable to 3.5mm

Cons:
– None

iTrip Bluetooth is a simple, yet complicated little device. It supports high quality codecs such as AAC and aptX, and connecting a device to iTrip Bluetooth could not be easier. For the most part iTrip Bluetooth will work exactly as advertised, sending an uninterrupted Bluetooth stream to your car’s auxiliary port. There might be random times when iTrip Bluetooth starts to skip or stutter because of other factors that are out of our control to test. Other users may or may not experience the same skips and stutters, but we have to plan for worst case scenario. iTrip Bluetooth retails for $49.99, which is a bit high considering other devices with similar features are cheaper, and that iTrip Bluetooth does suffer some skips and stutters. If you could find iTrip Bluetooth cheaper, its shortcomings could be overlooked, but at its current price and exhibited issues, I have to give it a 7 out of 10 score.
