Gigabyte’s Upcoming Gaming 3 Motherboard Pictured

It looks like someone let the cat out of the bag on Gigabyte’s upcoming Gaming 3 motherboard. The chipset is of course under NDA, but if you’ve been following any of our Skylake leaks you can guess what chipset this board features and the official name of the board. The board will follow Gigabyte’s black and red color design that they have been using on their Gaming Series motherboards.

The board will support 2-way NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFireX configurations. So you have two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (x8/x8 when both are populated) that is wired to the CPU socket. There is also a third PCI-Express x16 slot (electric gen 3.0 x4) wired to the PCH as well as three PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots. The board is built on the ATX form factor and draws power from a combination of 24pin ATX and 8pin EPS connectors. The board has a 7-phase CPU VRM and the CPU socket is wired to four DDR4 DIMM slots.

For storage you have two 32 GB/s M.2 slots, three SATA-Express 16 Gb/s, and six SATA 6GB/s ports. There are two USB 3.1 ports (with at least one type-C port), 8 USB 3.0 ports (4 from headers), and a number of USB 2.0 ports. The board also features Killer’s E2200 networking chip and Gigabyte’s own AMP-UP audio solution. For display outputs you have D-Sub, DVI, and HDMI.

The board will be bundled with World of Tanks DLC.
