The Touch BIOS & Other Software
So without the UEFI BIOS is there an easy way to make changes to the BIOS? Yes there is, Gigabyte calls it the Touch BIOS. This is a Windows-based application that has a tablet-like interface with large icons and easy to read menu’s. This application also works with touch-screen displays so I guess that is why Gigabyte has called it the Touch BIOS.
This application has has all of the options just like the normal BIOS does, just in an easier to use interface. You can save your settings, but you will need to restart your system for them to be applied.
Another piece of software Gigabyte includes is the EasyTune 6 software. This software allows you to easy “tune” the different settings on your system. It also has 3 predefined “Quick Boost” settings that will overclock your system.
Finally there is the Smart 6 software.
It has 6 different functions:
1. Smart QuickBoot
2. Smart QuckBoost
3. Smart Recovery
4. Smart DualBIOS
5. Smart Recorder
6. Smart TimeLock
