Gigabyte Radeon R9 380 G1 GAMING Details Leaked

It seems quite interesting for this information to come out the week of Computex, but Gigabyte’s marketing materials for their upcoming Radeon R9 380 G1 Gaming graphics card have been leaked. The leaked materials are actually two photos of the packaging of the card.

Gigabyte is preparing the G1 GAMING Radeon R9 380 graphics card that will come equipped with the WindForce 2X cooler. The cooler is very similar to the newest WindForce 3X cooler that was used on the GeForce GTX 980 Ti, this one just has two fans. The card will also come with a backplate with that has the G1 Gaming logo on it and a WindForce logo on the side that lights up.

The card comes with 4GB of GDDR5 as we expected as this card is just a rebrand of the R9 285 which is based on the Tonga silicon. So the only real difference will be the addition of the 2GB of memory. The model most likely will have 1792 Stream Cores and it is expected that the R9 380X will be a fully unlocked chip.

Included in this same leak were the branding materials for the R9 390X and R9 390. These both will be based on Hawaii silicon and will ship with 8GB of GDDR5 memory.
