Gigabyte Launches FM2+ Motherboard Lineup For Kaveri APUs

We know that AMD’s Kaveri’s APUs will be available in 2014. With the upcoming APUs on the way many motherboard manufacturers are launching their A88X chipset based FM2+ motherboards. Gigabyte announced its new FM2+ motherboard lineup supporting the forthcoming ‘Keveri’ AMD APUs with support for existing socket FM2 Trinity and Richland APUs.

The new FM2+ motherboards from Gigabyte fall under the G1.Sniper series and the F2A88X series. The total new lineup consists of 7 total new motherboards:

– G1.Sniper A88X
– F2A88X-UP4
– F2A88X-D3H
– F2A88X-HD3
– F2A88XM-D3H
– F2A85XM-DS2
– F2A88XM-HD3

Gigabyte is showing off the G1.Sniper A88X and F2A88X-UP4 boards. The G1.Sniper A88X is the first gaming series motherboard from Gigabyte for the AMD platform.

Gigabyte G1.Sniper A88X

It features the same green and black design that have seen on many of Gigabyte’s other motherboards. It features eight SATA ports, two PCI-Express x16 slots, three PCI-Express x1 slots and two legacy PCI slots.

Gigabyte F2A88X-UP4

The F2A88X-UP4 motherboard has six SATA 6GB/s ports, three PCI-Express x16 slots, three PCI-Express x1 slots, and a single legacy PCI slot. The rear I/O includes four USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, DVI, Gigabit Ethernet, PS/2, SPDIF and 6 channel audio.
