GIGABYTE Announces GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3X OC 4GB

Gigabyte has announced another variant to its GeForce GTX 770 line of graphics card. This one is called the GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3X OC, which is basically an overclocked version of the already released GeForce GTX 770 WindForce card. It features a factory overclock, a non-reference PCB, Gigabyte’s WindForce 3X cooler and 4GB of onboard memory.

The card will ship with clock speeds of 1137 MHz core, 1189 MHZ GPU Boost and 7010 MHz for the memory. That is a nice overclock compared to the reference speeds of the GTX 770 which are 1046 MHz core, 1085 MHz GPU boost and 7010 MHz memory. The 4GB of GDDR5 memory is spread across a 256-bit wide memory interface which can churn out 224 GB/s of bandwidth. The memory comes in sixteen 2 GB chips, eight are located on the reverse side of the PCB and either are on the top of the card.

Gigabytes WindForce 3X makes use of two aluminum fan stacks and six copper heatpipes that draw heat from the GPU. Then three 80mm fans move the hot air out of your case away from the video card. The WindForce 3X cooler can handle thermal loads up to 450W.

The card was selling on Newegg earlier for $449, but it is now out of stock.
