Gears of War Ultimate Edition for PC was listed on the Windows Store, then quickly taken down. Luckily Twitter user @M578Fury was able to capture the page which includes the system requirements for the game as well as a handful of screenshots.
Let’s get to the system requirements first. You will need Windows 10 (specifically build 1511 or later) to play the game, although this was expected as the game has been remade for DirectX 12. Other thing that is interesting is that besides minimum and recommended specifications you also have “Ideal” specification, which I guess is for the best performance.
Gears of War Ultimate Edition PC Requirements
– MINIMUM SPECS: OS 64 bit Windows 10 (v. 1511), Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.7Ghz / AMD FX 6-core, Memory: 8 GB RAM (2 GB VRAM), GPU: AMD R7 260x / NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti, HD Space: 60GB, DirectX12
– RECOMMENDED SPECS: OS 64 bit Windows 10 (v. 1511), Processor: Intel Core i5 @3.5GHz+ / AMD FX 8-core, Memory: 16 GB RAM (4 GB VRAM), GPU: AMD R9 290X / NVIDIA GTX 970, HD Space: 60GB, DirectX12
– IDEAL SPECS: OS 64 bit Windows 10 (v. 1511), Processor: Intel Core i7 @4GHz+ / AMD FX 8-core, Memory: 16 GB RAM (6 GB VRAM), GPU: AMD R9 390X / NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti, HD Space: 60GB, DirectX12
– SUPPORTED OS: Windows 10 (64-bit version only) with Windows 10 November update installed (Windows 10 Version 1511)
Another thing that was listed on the store page was the file size, which ends up being 52.76 GB, which is a hefty amount of space on any hard drive.
9 screenshots were on the page as well, you can take a look at them below (click for full-size image):
We still do not know when the release date will be, but we’ve heard Microsoft might reveal this information later this week at a press event. Until then stay tuned!
