TridentX Overview
The TridentX kit we received today runs in dual-channel, and consists of two 4GB modules.
The TridentX utilizes a 2-piece heatspreader. If you wish (for either aesthetics or clearance), you can remove the metallic red portion by removing the small black screws securing it in place. Beneath the heatspreader is a matte black PCB.
Both sides of the modules have the TridentX name/logo on a sticker. One side has an additional sticker detailing speed, timings as well as a holographic portion that certifies authenticity.
The modules are 5.4cm (2.13”) high out-of-the-box, if you opt to remove the heatspreader it reduces this to 3.9cm (1.54”).
