G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3000 32GB Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts
I have to say I’ve seen pretty much all of the RGB memory available today in person and this kit in my opinion looks the best. G.Skill did a great job basing this kit on an already popular series of memory and the light bar fits perfectly on the top of the kit. The light bar properly diffuses the LEDs inside of it so it looks like a single light. By default you have this cool wave effect that works right off the bat and looks pretty amazing, but if you want to customize the lights G.Skill offers their own software which has many different effects in it. This will alloy you to match the kit to other RGB elements or colors in your system. Don’t forget this kit is compatible with ASUS Aura Sync as well.

Even if this kit was not RGB it looks quite good. You have these great brushed aluminum heatspreaders matched with a black PCB that looks awesome. The PCB itself is a custom engineered ten-layer PCB offering maximum signal stability; and every single kit is rigorously tested for reliability, compatibility, and performance across a wide range of motherboards.

As far as performance goes this kit does pretty well. It is up there with some of the top kits that we’ve tested. When it comes to overclocking we were able to take this kit from its XMP profile speed of 3000 MHz to 3200 MHz with the exact same timings and voltage as the XMP profile. That is pretty impressive!

At the end of the day if you are looking for a DDR4 RGB memory kit this is one I can totally recommend. Not only because it looks great, but it also has good performance and is made with high-quality materials. To make things even better G.Skill stands behind this kit with a lifetime warranty, so it really is a no-brainer. Right now you can pick up this kit at our favorite online retailer for $349.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3000 32GB Memory Kit 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
