G.SKILL Shows off new Gaming Headsets

Just before Computex G.SKILL decided to tease us with a little glimpse of what their new headset line would look like. Well it turns out they were actually launching not one, but two gaming headsets. These headsets include the Ripjaws R71 and Ripjaws D71 and we have to say they do look pretty awesome!

The Ripjaws R71 is the flagship product in the audio line and I have to say it just looks awesome. The metallic blue just sets it off. G.SKILL is claiming that this headset is the “World’s first real 7.1 surround sound USB gaming headset” as it has 10 discrete driver units. Other features include a noise cancellation microphone, positional audio and very comfortable leather earpads.

One of the coolest things about the Rijaws R71 is that it has in-line controls, but not just any in-line controls a full touchscreen controller!

The Ripjwas D71 is a little bit of a downgrade, but still is a Dolby 7.1 headset. So it is Dolby certified, has the noise cancellation microphone, 30mm drivers, custom EQ and there are in-line controls, but they are pretty normal compared to the R71’s.
