G.Skill Ares Overview
This is a 16GB quad channel kit so you have four 4GB kits. As I said these kits come in either blue or orange, as you can see from the photos below we received the orange kit. The difference between the blue and orange 2133MHz kits is that the blue kit has timings of 9-11-10-28 at 1.65V whereas the orange kit has timings of 11-11-11-30 at 1.6V.
The modules have a black PCB that matches the heatspreaders pretty well and looks great. The orange on the heatspreaders is very vibrant and will definitely stand out inside of your case. At the center of each module is a sticker with a G.Skill and ARES logo. On the opposite side of each module is a sticker that has all the information about the kit.
As I said these modules are designed to be very low profile and they are. The heatspreaders just go over the top of the module. This means you will be able to use this kit with many of the aftermarket CPU coolers.
