Installation
As we mentioned the Meshify C is a little smaller than other ATX cases and its internal design made me wonder if the motherboard we typically use for case installs would fit. The motherboard in question is the AORUS Z270X-Gaming 9, which is an “oversized” ATX motherboard meaning that it does extend past what a normal ATX board does. To our dismay this board would not fit in the Meshify C, since there is a grove to make room behind the motherboard tray.
So it looks like any of these oversize motherboard will not fit in the Meshify C. Another board we had on had was the EVGA X299 Micro so we went ahead and installed that. It went in without any issues at all.
Next is our hard drives. We will be installing our 3.5-inch drive in the cage on the bottom of the case and our 2.5-inch drive behind the motherboard. A tray easily comes out of the bottom tray and the SSD mount can be easily removed from back of the case for easy installation. Once you have your drives installed you just simply reinstall the tray and SSD mount.
To install your power supply you’ll need to remove the mounting bracket from the back of the case and install it on your power supply. Then carefully slide your power supply in from the back of the case securing it with the two thumbscrews on the mounting bracket.
We decided to go with an AiO with this build, the NZXT X52. It easily goes right in the top of the case. I would be sure to make sure you have everything connected at the top of your motherboard as the cooler will block most of those connections.
The last piece of hardware that needs to be installed is our graphics card. It goes in no problem and we do not have any clearance issues at all.
Now we just have to organize our cables and clean things up a little bit. There are plenty of tie-down points and the velcro ties really help with cable management. We have a pretty clean build when it is all said and done.
With all of our hardware installed and the panels back on the case we do notice that the tempered glass panel is pretty dark. You can barely see our installed hardware inside, even with our graphics card and AiO lit up.
