Fractal Design Adjust 108 Fan Controller Review

Adjust 108 Overview
Taking the Adjust 108 out of the box, while not flashy and filled with features, you will immediately feel that it has a solid and precise design and feel. While many controllers opt to cut cost by using plastic on the hidden parts Fractal Design has built the entire frame and faceplate of this controller from only metal.

The faceplate is black brushed aluminum, with a vertical grain pattern. While the sliders have an exact and smooth operation, the white lines painted across the middle of the sliders are anything but precise. 4 of the 6 of the lines on our controller are at an obvious angle. It is not really noticeable unless you are inspecting the unit, but I would have expected better from something so simple. The side of the frame of the controller is drilled with several holes for many mounting depths and options.

Moving on from the construction and aesthetics to the parts that do the work, the unit functions off of a single pcb. Attached are six removable 3 pin PWM connector compatible fan wires. When stretched out they are 24.5 inches long each. Also attached to the board is the removable power wire. This wire although only a short 8 inches ends in a multi header with both a SATA power connector and molex power connector. This is a nice feature that allows you to power the unit easily. The final end user item attach to the PCB is the jumper for adjusting the LED brightness from 100% to 50% to OFF.
