First Google Glass “How It Feels” Video

Google Glass has been in and out of the news for the past couple of years. It is Google’s augmented reality eye-wear. Finally we are getting a look of what it would be like to own one of these nifty sets of glasses. Google has released a “How It Feels” video today on YouTube that gives you an idea of what it would be like to wear Google Glass and some of the functionality.

The video shows that most of the functionality is done via voice. If you want to take a photo you just say, “Glass take a picture”. Other things like Maps, Hangouts and posting a status on Google+ were shown in the video as well.

Google also wants you to get your hands on Glass…for free! They have having a contest! If you can come up with a great pitch on how you would use Glass and what you would do with it you may be selected as one of the few people that get their hands on the device.

“We’re looking for bold, creative individuals who want to join us and be a part of shaping the future of Glass. We’d love to make everyone an Explorer, but we’re starting off a bit smaller. We’re still in the early stages, and while we can’t promise everything will be perfect, we can promise it will be exciting.”
