Overclocking
Overclocking on the Z270 platform is pretty much like it is on Z170. Because of time restrictions we will only be doing basic overclocking here. There are a couple of ways to overclock with this motherboard. You can use the E-LEET Tuning Utility or go directly into the BIOS. I opted to go into the BIOS. After some tinkering around I settled on a 4.9 GHz overclock at 1.35V VCore.
The system was completely stable at 4.9 GHz, but I was reaching the thermal limit I was comfortable keeping my i7-7700K at. I think an upgrade to the cooling system we have on the test bench is in order!
