EKWB’s Old CEO and CTO Join Corsair

About a month ago EKWB’s CEO Mark Tanko, and CTO and Head of Marketing Niko Tivadar left the company. At the time many people wondered what would happen to EKWB, as they were losing two very important people. Well it seems EKWB has been unaffected as they continue to pump out new products.

Both Mark Tanko and Niko Tivadar have landed on their feet pretty well as it has just been reported that they are now working at Corsair. Mark is now the “Vice President & BU General Manager at CORSAIR”, and Niko is the “Director Of Engineering at CORSAIR”.

Of course we know Corsair for their AiO liquid cooling units, but they did show off some custom DIY components at Computex earlier this year. These were developed in conjunction with Aqua Computer. With Mark and Niko joining the Corsair team and a new business unit being created inside of Corsair it looks like Corsair will be getting into the DIY liquid cooling market heavily.

We’ve seen Thermaltake and Phanteks get into the DIY cooling market with some success, it will be interesting to see what Corsair has in store for the DIY liquid cooling market. We will be meeting with them at CES 2018 in less than a month so hopefully they will be able to show us what they are working on.
