ECS’s LGA1150 motherboard launch was sort of boring last week, but there was a reason for that. They wanted to save their best motherboards for Computex and they have as they unveiled their flagship Z87H3-AH and Z87H3-AH Golden “Gank Machine” motherboards. The golden board of course has gold accents all around. The normal board has red and silver accents which make for a good looking board as well. Besides the different color schemes these board are identical.
You have a 12-phase VRM that is cooled by an active fan heatsink. There are three PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, a single PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot, a PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot and a legacy PCI slot. When it comes to storage you have six SATA 6GB/s slots, an eSATA 6GB/s port and a mSATA 6GB/s port. Display outputs include HDMI and mini-DisplayPort.
The rest of the connectivity on the board will include dual Ethernet (Killer E2201 / Realtek), 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 8-channel audio and ten USB 3.0 ports. Overclocker friendly features include a debug LED, voltage measurement points and CMOS reset and restore.
