EA Was Pressured By Disney To Remove Micro-Transactions From Battlefront II

Star Wars Battlefront II has been under controversy since before it was released. Gamers have complained about the inappropriate amounts of money to unlock certain heroes, loot boxes, and even limiting the amount of playtime you have before putting you behind a timer in arcade mode. After all of the backlash from gamers EA actually removed all micro-transactions from the game.

It turns out it was not just gamers voicing their opinion about the apparent pay to win structure of the game, but it seems that Disney pressured EA to remove mirco-transactions from the game as well. This is of course because Disney does have a Star Wars movie coming up, Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 13th.

I guess Disney did not want gamers upset at the game to not go out and see the movie.
