Diablotek Legend Mid Tower Case Review

Final Thoughts
No doubt this case is in the value segment with its price being under $50, but should we get some value with this case?  There are 2 huge issues I see with this case.  First it does not come with ANY cooling fans at all!  You would expect any case you buy to have at least an intake or exhaust.  The legend has neither!  Also our CPU cooler, the Thermaltake FRIO did not fit in the case, it extended outside of the case making it impossible to put the side panel back on the case.  There was no warning of this on the Diablotek website.

This case is relatively small and light which would make it great for taking to LAN parties.  I did fit our Radeon HD 6950, which is a longer card.  There is a lot of room for fans, but as I said none were included.  There is a CPU cutout, which will allow you to install an after-market CPU cooler without having to remove your motherboard.

This case just feels dated, I know it is a budget case, but you also cannot route cables behind the motherboard tray as there are no routing holes.  There are no mounting systems for 2.5-inch hard drives and there is no USB 3.0.

This case is for sale at my favorite online retailer for $44.99.  I cannot really recommend this case, other great choices in the same price range are Thermaltake V3 Black Edition, NZXT M59, Antec Two Hundred and the NZXT Source 210 Elite.  Overall ThinkComputers gives the Diablotek Legend Mid Tower Case a 5 out of 10 score.
