Conclusion
The Diablotek Fly Mid Tower Case is certainly one of the more interesting cases I’ve seen lately. While I really like the lightweight design and aluminum-magnesium material there are just too many things wrong with this case to make it a “good” case. Since it’s a newer case, it should at least have USB 3.0” and 2.5” drive support, but it doesn’t. I can let the bad cable management, only single fan included, and the lack of support for larger CPU coolers slide by, but of course it’s something I really don’t like about the case.
This case can be found at my favorite retailer for $79.99, which is a pretty high price to pay considering all of its flaws. I think a lot of these flaws could be ignored by some, but I think to most, the negatives of this case just don’t outweigh the price point. Overall ThinkComputers would like to award the Diablotek Fly Mid Tower Case a 6 out of 10 score.
Pros:
- Unique finish
- Extremely lightweight (7.7lbs)
- Some tool-free installation methods
Cons:
- No USB 3.0 or 2.5” drive support
- Doesn’t support larger CPU coolers
- Only 1 (rear) fan included
- Cable management included, but not very useful
