Leaked screenshots have reveaeld that the game will likely take place during the french revolution. Large landmarks like Notre Dame and the Seine River where quite clear in the screenshots.

Ubisoft confirmed the existence of the game and revealed some early game footage in a video. The game will be available for current-gen consoles like Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. We are not exactly sure that the Unity name is the final name of the game or is just an internal codename for the game.

A user on the NeoGAF forums who had access to the game says that the main assassin will be called Arno. The game would feature use of handguns and a villa management system that was used in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. From the leaked screenshots and video the game looks very detailed, this is likely because Ubisoft is using the AnvilNext game engine, which is the successor to the Anvil engine used in the current Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
