DeepCool has rolled out its second generation GamerStorm Assassin CPU Cooler, the Assassin II. This type-D twin-stack cooler is just HUGE, measuring 143 mm x 158 mm x 167 mm (WxDxH) and weighing in at 1.48 kg (including fans). The cooler features a large nickel-plated copper base, eight nickel-plated copper heatpipes, two aluminum fin stacks and two cooling fans.
There are actually two different size fans on this cooler. The smaller (push) fan is a 120 mm fan that runs between 300 and 1400 RPM, pushing up to 68.06 CFM of air, with a noise output ranging between 17.8 and 27.3 dBA. The center (conveyor) fan is a 140 mm fan that will run between 300 and 1200 RPM, pushing up to 70.08 CFM of air, with the noise output being between 17.8 and 27.3 dBA.
The Assassin II will be able to handle all modern CPU socket types including LGA2011v3, LGA1150, AM3+, and FM2+. There is no word on TDP rating so we are not sure if it can handle the 220W chips of AMD’s FX-9000 series. More photos are below.
