D-Link has made waves with its Ultra Performance Series, and now they intend to do the same in the midrange market with an ultra-stylish EXO series. Colored orange and black with a white front-facing LED, EXO looks calm, confident, and ready to attack!
Despite EXO’s midrange market target, D-Link doesn’t want to compromise on performance or range. The first two products to launch in the EXO series both have high powered antennas, 1.0GHz dual core CPU, and dual-band (2.4GHz/5GHz) 802.11ac wireless networking. In fact, the only real difference between the two launch models is 802.11ac speeds and a very small price difference.
D-Link EXO AC1900 Wi-Fi Router (DIR-879) is the first to launch in Q1 2016 for $149.99, and has speeds up to 1300Mbps on 5GHz band, and 600Mbps on 2.4GHz.
D-Link EXO AC1750 Wi-Fi Router is expected to release in Q2 2016 for $129.99, with speeds up to 1300Mbps on 5GHz, and 450Mbps on 2.4GHz.
