Custom Sapphire Radeon RX Vega 64 Pictured & Tested

Custom versions of AMD’s Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics cards are a hard thing to come by. We’ve only seen 2. This has been caused by low GPU yields, low packaging yields, and manufacturing discrepancies making it very hard for AMD’s AIB partners to deliver custom models of the card. Well it seems Sapphire has a card ready as it ended up in the hands of the guys over at HWBattle who also tested it.

The card is the Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro and it features a triple-fan cooler. The two outer fans are 95 mm, while the center fan is 84 mm. The card features some LED effects (not sure if RGB) on the shroud itself around the two outer fans and on the back of the card, which also has a full backplate.

Vega is of course a very powerful GPU and if you want to push it you are going to need a lot of power to do so. Powering this card you have three 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors. The cooler shroud also extending pretty high, making this is 3-slot card.

According to HWBattle the clock speeds of the sample were AMD reference, but this isn’t a final product. This means there could be changes in cooling, power delivery, and of course clock speeds. It still might be a little while before we see these custom designs from AMD AIB partners, it seems we’ve been waiting forever already.

HWBattle has posted a YouTube video of the card in action, which you can check out below.
