CRYORIG M9i CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts
CRYORIG has quite a few very high performance CPU coolers, but not everyone wants or needs that. Having a cost-effective CPU cooler, that also has some decent performance is a good thing. I am not a fan of the Intel stock cooler at all. It has a difficult installation, the mounting clips are plastic, and it has very bad performance. That is where the M9i comes in. Where is really excels is load performance, where it is not too far off from some of the high performance coolers we have tested in the past. The cooler is rated for 120W TDP processors, so don’t expect to use it on high-end processors like Intel’s HEDT line. The 92mm fan is quiet and you really can’t hear it at all if you have the side panel on your case.

Being an entry level cooler that is meant to replace your stock cooler the M9i needs to be easy to install and it is. Our installation took no more than a few minutes. For a first time builder it should be easy as well and the instructions are pretty easy to follow. You will not experience any RAM clearance issues with this cooler at all as the fan actually sits in front of your RAM. It is a very small cooler so it should fit in many different sized cases.

Another thing that CRYORIG has done is keep this cooler relatively inexpensive. Currently it selling at my favorite online retailer for $25.99, which is not bad at all. For reference the Intel stock cooler is $8.59, but remember you are getting much better performance with this cooler.

If you are looking for a cooler that is going to give you better performance than the Intel Stock Cooler, is easy to install, and won’t break this cooler is a great choice. Overall ThinkComputers gives the CRYORIG M9i CPU Cooler a 9 out of 10 score.
