Cougar 600M Gaming Mouse Review

Cougar 600M Gaming Mouse Overview
Taking a first look at the COugar 600M Gaming Mouse we can see that we recieved the black version, it also comes in an orange version as well. On of the first things that I noticed about this mouse was how light it actually is. It weighs in at only 90g, which makes it perfect for FPS gaming in my opinion. The entire mouse has a soft-touch coating on it, which makes it quite comfortable to use.

Looking at the 600M from a top view we can see its overall design. I would say it is a bit thinner than some gaming mice, but does have an overall good size to it. Towards the back of the mouse is a small Cougar logo.

The 600M has two main mouse buttons that use OMRON switches. On the left button there is indication LEDs to let you know your DPI level and there is actually a LED strip under the left button. In the center you have up and down buttons that are set as DPI switch buttons by default and a scroll wheel. The scroll wheel is rubberized so it has a great overall feel to it.

On the left side of the mouse there are two programmable buttons as well as a sniper button. The sniper button is made to slow the DPI down when in sniper mode in games. This helps you to get those headshots. The left bottom part of the mouse also comes out so your thumb can actually sit there. The right side of the mouse does not have any buttons at all.

Flipping the mouse over we can get a closer look at the sensor. The 600M uses a ADNS-9800 high performance laser sensor that has a DPI adjustment all the way up to 8200 DPI. There are four mouse feet on the bottom as well that they will help your mouse glide along your gaming surface.

The USB cable that is attached to the 600M is braided and the USB connector is gold-plated. I really like to see braided cables on gaming products because these are the products that we are taking to LAN parties and other events with us and are more prone to break.
