Corsair Releases World’s First 3000MHz Memory Kits

It looks like Corsair has another first on their hands. They have just announced their new Vengeance Extreme 8GB dual channel memory kits, which are rated at 3000MHz! That makes them the world’s fastest rated production PC memory kits! These new 2x4GB kits have timings of 12-14-14-36 at 1.5V. They are air cooled and use simple “racing red” heat spreaders. Corsair will also include a Kingpin cooling memory cooler for overclockers who want to use LN2.

These kits are a result of a four-stage hand screening process performed by Corsair engineers. This process is passed by fewer than one in 50 memory ICs. To reach 3000MHz these kits require a 3rd generation Intel Core unlocked processor with an integrated memory controller capable of running 3000MHz. Corsair has tested these kits on the ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe and ASRock Z77 OC Formula.

The 8GB memory kits will be available directly from Corsair for $749.99 USD. Quantities will be extremely limited.

About 10 years of computer experience. Been messing around with electronics since I was 5, got into computers when I was in highschool, been modding them ever since then. Very interested in how things work and their design.
