Corsair MM800 RGB Polaris Gaming Mouse Pad Review

Setup & Usage

Getting the MM800 Polaris setup is extremely easy. Just place it on your desk in the desired location, plug it in, and you are good to go. By default the mouse pad will display the Rainbow wave effect. This actually happens to be my favorite effect.

Now if you want to customize the lighting on the MM800 RGB Polaris you’ll need to download Corsair’s CUE software. Within CUE you’ll see the MM800 RGB Polaris in your list of devices. From there you can select different lighting effects for the RGB LEDs.

One thing that is cool is that you can select Lighting Link, which will link the RGB effects of all of your connected Corsair RGB devices. This makes for a really cool effect, especially if you have a Corsair mouse sitting on the MM800 RGB Polaris.

As far as usage goes I have been using the MM800 RGB Polaris for the past month with Corsair’s own Scimitar Pro RGB gaming mouse. Once I calibrated the mouse to the mouse pad with the CUE software it really started to perform well. I typically play FPS games and the mousing surface was more than large enough for my needs and my mouse glided pretty effortlessly across the surface.
