Corsair HX1200i Power Supply Overview
Taking a first look at the power supply we can see that it is fully modular so there are no connected cables at all. The unit is a bit longer than a typical ATX power supply, the official dimensions are 150mm x 86mm x 200mm so make sure your case will support it.
The top of the unit is pretty much plain, although there is a sticker that has your input and output information on it. I really wished more companies put some type of cool sticker or design on the top of their units as most cases with windows show off the top of your PSU.
Each side of the unit has the HX1200i logo on it. So again if you do have a case windows that shows your power supply everyone will see that you are rocking the HX1200i.
The back of the unit has a honeycomb design that will help with airflow. On the back you will also find a large power button and of course your power connection.
On the bottom of the unit you will find the fan, which is covered by a metal wire grill. The fan is a 140mm fan and instead of the typical black it is grey. The fan features Corsair’s Zero RPM fan mode which allows the fan to not operate at all at low and medium loads. This obviously will cut down on overall system noise.
