Corsair Flash Voyager GTR 32GB USB Flash Drive Review

Final Thoughts
I really like it when companies improve on existing product line. Corsair has done that quite a bit with their Flash Voyager line. As I said they had the original Flash Voyager, the Flash Voyager GT and the Flash Padlock 2, all of which are based on the same rubber casing design which I love. Now they have the Flash Voyager GTR, which is an even faster drive than previous drives and is offered in high capacities up to 64GB! I really can’t say enough about the design of the Flash Voyager drives, you can take them practically anywhere and I have yet to ever be able to break one or have one fail on me!

The GTR is obviously designed to perform faster than the previous drives and it sure does. The average read speed of the drive during our test was right under the advertised 32MB/s, but the write performance, although good was well under the advertised speed of 28MB/s. In our file benchmark test it barely got to 20MB/s.

Overall the GTR is another great addition to the Flash Voyager family and if you are looking for speed and a drive that will last the Flash Voyager GTR is a great choice. The 32GB version, which we reviewed sells for $99 at my favorite online retailer and the 64GB version is $100 more. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Corsair Flash Voyager GTR 32GB USB Flash Drive a 9 out of 10 score.
