Dark Core RGB SE Overview

Starting with the top of the mouse there are two main buttons, but also two smaller buttons embedded into the left button. In the center of the mouse is another button and of course you have a scroll wheel, which has a textured rubber coating on it for a good grip.

Moving back to the palm rest it is has a rubber dimpled coating to it, which is something we don’t typically see on mice. Right in the center of the palm rest is the Corsair logo, it will light up with RGB lighting when the mouse is powered on.

On the left side of the mouse you see a design that is very different from what Corsair has done in the past. First you have a thumb rest with the same type of dimpled coating that was on the palm rest. Then right where your thumb would actually be up against the mouse is a large button, it acts by default as a sniper button, lowering the mouse’s DPI level. On either side of that you have forward and back buttons.

On the opposite side of the mouse you won’t find any buttons, but you have a there is a type of soft-touch rubber there for a good grip. Now Corsair does provide a large side grip if that is your thing. The side grips easily come off the mouse and can be quickly as they are held into place by two magnets.

Flipping the mouse over to the bottom we have the sensor, which is placed towards the top center of the mouse. It is the PixArt PMW 3367 16,000 DPI optical sensor. Around the sensor there are four PTFE mouse feet, which should help it glide effortlessly across your mousing surface. You’ll also find two switches on the back of the mouse. The first is a simple power button and the second is to switch between 2.4 GHz mode (the included dongle) or normal Bluetooth wireless mode (to be used with any Bluetooth device). Also at the front of the mouse is a microUSB connection that can be used to charge the mouse or use it is wired mode.
