Cooler Master V750 750W Power Supply Review

Installation & Testing
Getting the V750 installed is quite easy, its small size will make it great if you plan on using it in a small form factor system. I decided to install the unit in the Cooler Master MasterCase 5 and I did not have a single issue.

The flat modular cables are very easy to work with and again since this is a fully modular unit you only use the cables that you need.

Disclaimer: We do realize that our testing methods for power supplies are not up to the standards that we would like. Unfortunately we do not have the equipment to properly test power supplies the way that we would like. The tests below do give you a good idea of how the unit will perform, but we know they are not as accurate as we would like. All power supply manufactures are made aware of our testing methods before they send us a unit.

Multimeter Testing
multimeter

Our first set of tests we will be using a Mastech MS8268 digital multimeter. Here we will measure the rails at idle (Windows Desktop) and then at load (Heaven Benchmark looped). This will give you a good idea of power fluctuation during gaming sessions.

Software Testing
Our motherboard allows us to monitor the rails on our power supply. We do the same type of test we did with the multimeter and recorded the voltages.

software

The software also allows us to see a live view of the voltages on the rails. Here is what we were shown during our load test.

12v

5v

3v

So as you can see based on our findings here we do have good voltage regulation.
