Cooler Master MasterSet MS120 Gaming Keyboard & Mouse Combo Review

Usage & Final Thoughts
Once again Cooler Master brings a keyboard and mouse combo out to help gamers and I have to say I am a huge fan of this. As I said earlier a keyboard and mouse is the last thing you are thinking about when you are doing your build, but once that build is complete you need those things. With this kit Cooler Master gives you what you need at a pretty decent price.

I think the keyboard really shines over the mouse in this kit. The full-size keyboard, while not mechanical is pretty great. The mem-chanical key switches from Cooler Master are the closest you are going to get without going mechanical. They have good feedback and definitely have that clicky sound, I would compare them with Cherry MX Blue switches. Now I do have to warn you if you are moving from a mechanical keyboard to this one you are going to notice a difference and it will take you a little bit to get used to the keyboard.

Besides the mem-chanical switches you have great lighting on this keyboard. It is RGB backlighting, although a little limited. Compared to the previous version of the keyboard there are more modes and the colors are definitely more vibrant. This combo actually looks pretty awesome sitting on my desk. I do have to point out though that there is no software, which means no being able to fully customize those lights or reprogram the keyboard.

To be honest the mouse sort of seems like an after-thought to this combo. The keyboard is great, but the mouse just seems lacking. We like that it is a claw-style grip, but overall it feels a little cheap and most of it is plastic. It does work just fine, but I feel Cooler Master could have done better here. Also the LEDs on the back part of the mouse don’t cycle like the rest, which just makes it look weird sitting on your desk.

Cooler Master will be releasing this combo for $89.99. This is one of the better keyboard / mouse combo’s we’ve seen so keep that in mind. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Cooler Master MasterSet MS120 Gaming Keyboard & Mouse Combo an 8 out of 10 score.
