Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB Case Review

Final Thoughts
You know not that long ago we took a look at AZZA’s Storm 6000 case, which also had a tempered glass side panel and four RGB fans. The big difference with that case is that it has an MSRP of $170, whereas the MasterBox Lite 5 RGB is only $69.99, more than half the price! The MasterBox Lite has the tempered glass side panel and three RGB fans. So honestly I have no clue why anyone would buy the AZZA case at that cost. That is what is so great about the MasterBox Series from Cooler Master, even with the high-end features like tempered glass and RGB fans this case is only $69.99.

Now this is not a perfect case by any means. At this price point some things are going to be missing and we understand that. While there are a total of four SSD mounts in the case, there is only a single SSD tray. There is only mounting hardware for a single SSD as well. Also we don’t have a fan filter on the front of the case, and while there is one on the bottom of the case it is not easily accessible. There are also no top cooling options at all. But I think if you are only paying $69.99 for this case you should be ok with most of these things.

One thing that I was surprised with when it came to this case was installation. Typically when it comes to installation in cases in this price range there is always some issue, but I did not encounter a single issue with installation. Everything fit just fine and there were plenty of tie-down points on the backside of the motherboard tray to organize cables. Installing a 120 mm AiO in the back of the case was easy too!

The biggest feature of this case has to be the three RGB fans at the front of the case. They shine through the front panel pretty well and look awesome. Your system is definitely going to draw some attention at a LAN party. These fans are compatible with RGB headers and RGB software from ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI.

I think this case is one hell of a value at its price. There are not many cases that have a tempered glass side panel and three RGB fans at this price. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB Case a 9 out of 10 score and our Good Value Award.
